This receipe does not use a bread maker and makes a lovely gift. \u00a0Below are my notes that I took during Jennifer&#8217;s presentation. \u00a0To see the recipe, visit\u00a0<a style=\"color: #40c1fe;\" href=\"http:\/\/breadtopia.com\/basic-no-knead-method\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/breadtopia.com\/basic-no-knead-method\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Use a food scale to weigh food.\u00a0 Don\u2019t use measuring cups for flour.<\/p>\n<p>Uses yeast from Sweden.\u00a0 Lasts 5 years in the refrigerator.\u00a0 $5.95 for\u00a0 16 oz SAF Instant\u00a0 Yeast.\u00a0 Use Danish dough whisk to stir together.\u00a0 Put an airtight lid on bowl and let it sit for 18 hours on your countertop.<\/p>\n<p>Put dough on heavily floured surface. \u00a0\u00a0Push the air out of the dough by flattening it.\u00a0 Fold it into quarters and cover heavily with flour on.\u00a0 Cover with flour sack for 1 \u00bd hours.\u00a0 Jen bought 3 teatowels\u00a0 called \u201cfloursack\u201d from ACE Hardware.<\/p>\n<p>Bake it a clay oven called a La Cloche.\u00a0 Make sure the La Cloche has a good handle on top.\u00a0 The clay baker is heated in 500\u00a0 degree oven for 30 minutes.\u00a0 Bake break for 30 minutes.\u00a0 Take the lid off and turn down to 450 degrees and bake 15 more minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Gift idea:\u00a0 Wrap bread in envelope in heavy paper.\u00a0 See picture.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-149\" src=\"http:\/\/global-gals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/IMAG1034-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"IMAG1034\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Could use heavy Le Creusut baker in stead of La Cloche.\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;No Knead Bread&#8221; presented by Jennifer Caltabellotta at our Global Gals Gathering on November 13, 2014.
